Last Saturday (12th Dec) Reading hosted the Berkshire Cross Country Championships at Prospect Park on a cold day.
In the U13 Girls race, Gemma Burgin was the best placed with an excellent run to place 7th closely followed by the ever improving Felicity Johnson 8th and Tilly Compton-Stewart running well to finish 11th.
George Popplewell won the Boys U13 title with Max Bennett placing 9th.
Ellie Wallis was the sole runner for the club in the U15 Girls race taking 11th place.
In the U17 Ladies race, Naomi Barbour and Ella Pepper both won medals, taking Silver and Bronze having had a really good run.
Charlotte Firth won bronze in the Senior Ladies competition.
Marina Stedman also won a bronze medal in the veteran ladies race.
The Senior Mens race was a 1-2 for WSEH as Alex Tovey won the title with Nathan White winning the Silver medal.
Overall, a good days work for the club with a few medals coming home.
