Hayley Yelling’s fine run of form continued in the televised BUPA International Cross Country Challenge Race in Edinburgh on Sunday. She skipped over the snow covered ground to lead for most of the race before being overhauled by World Champion Tirunesh Dibaba but had the satisfaction of being the first UK runner home in 4th place seeing off the challenge of her younger rivals Freya Murray and Steph Twell in a sprint for the line.
