Aviva England U15 / U17 / U20 Championships - Sat, 27th - Sun, 28th Feb 2010 - Brimingham

At the weekend athletes from WSEH AC added two more national titles and a host of minor medals to those won at the Senior championships a couple of weeks ago.
It was the Under 15 Girls age group that proved the most rewarding. Stephanie Clitheroe won the 60m Hurdles title with a time of 9.06 secs. In the same final Morgan Lake took 5th place in 9.32 secs. Morgan however went on to claim her own national title with a win by some 20cms in the Long Jump with 5m61. She also had hopes of further success in the Shot event, but unfortunately she registered 3 foul throws. WSEH figured highly in the Under 20 60m where Deji Tobais took the silver award in 6.75 secs with Alex Ojo in the bronze position in 6.65 secs. Another bronze fell to Sam Maguire in the Under 17 60m Hurdles in 8.33secs. Sam also went on to make the final of the 200m, finishing in 6th place in 23.19secs. Also in this age group Charlie Smith set a new pb of 4m00 in the Pole Vault to secure bronze.
