In the second match of the 2008 British League season, which was held at Eton, the men of WSEH were found wanting as a team but individually all performed well with our only winner being Julian Golley in the Triple Jump. League debuts were made by Under 17’s, Ashley Fry (400m Hurdles) and David Harvey (Long Jump) and new signing, Rob Berry (Steeplechase).
Personal Bests were attained by both Steve Johnson (400m) and Multi-eventer, Tom Reynolds (Discus).
The team was hampered by illnesses and injuries to key athletes, although the team managed to gain more points than in the first match and also was not so far adrift at the foot of the table.
