A disappointing result at Hendon on Saturday sees the WSEH Mens British League Team doomed for relegation from the Premier Division after just one year in the top flight.
Holidays, injuries and a car accident combined to see the local club unable to field a full team, resulting in last place on the day by a wide margin.

The WSEH sprinters were down the pecking order in both the 100m and 200m, with Andy Matthews(10.95secs) and Adam Butler(11.15secs) both in 6th place. The same placing resulted in the 200m this time with Nigel Levine clocking 21.82 secs in the A race. Steve Johnson was 7th in a tough 400m A race in 48.89 secs but Richie Morgan’s late start to the season saw him clock yet another season’s best with 4th in the B in 49.09 secs.
The best result in the middle /distance races came in the 5000m where Nathan White was 5th in the A with 15m09.16 and Steve Kimber was 3rd in the B with 15m16.26.
The Steeplechase produced two 5th places from Rob Berry(9m24.98) and Gary Taylor(10m34.79).
Best of the Hurdles proved to be the 400m Hurdles where Jeff Christie was 6th in 54.33 secs. WSEH really struggled in the field events, with the best result coming in the High Jump. A below form Alan Mckie was only 7th in the A with 2m00 but Cameron Lake took 3rd in the B with 1m95.
The meeting concluded with a 6th place in the 4x400m Relay, the WSEH quartet of Butler, Morgan, Levine and Reynolds clocking 3m20.5
