WSEH’s problems in fielding a full team for their Southern Mens League team this year continued at Lee Valley on Saturday thus despite a number of victories the gaps in the team meant that WSEH finished bottom of the pile in a 5 club match.

3. Kent AC 87pts, 4. Ipswich Harriers 86pts, 5. WSEH 79pts

In the 100m Mark Holloway, flying at the moment, equalled his pb with 10.8 secs.in winning the A string. Andrew Weekes made his debut with 4th in the B with 11.7 secs.
Best of the 200m runners was veteran Scott Dorset, 3rd in 23.5 secs.
The 1500m produced maximum points for the local club with Ian May(4m03.0) and Owain Jones crossing the line together.
Nathan White totally dominated the 5000m to win by nearly a lap in a time of 15m12.3 secs.
Jeff Christie had opened the match with a good second place in the 400m Hurdles in 54.8 secs, with vet Danny Hodge 3rd in the B race in 63.2 secs.
Ashley Bryant had a busy day, with a good 2nd place in his one track event, the 110m Hurdles in 15.5 secs. Vet Glen Reddington was 3rd in the B Race in 18.4 secs.
Gary Taylor had his best run since returning to the sport with his 2nd place in the 3000m Steeplechase in 10m02.9.
Mark Holloway was once again the best of the Long Jumpers with his win in 7m14, with 16 year old Andy Winchcombe 4th on 5m40.
Stephen Walker made a dramatic return to form to win the Pole Vault with a new best of 4m10 and Ashley Bryant completed the double with his 4m00 clearan.ce
David Shiel was the mainstay of the heavy throws with his best result coming in the Discus with a new pb of 31m22. Ashley Bryant was back in action in the Javelin where he was 2nd with 47m04, with Grant Fuller taking the same place in the B with 45m42.
