Another good result from the WSEH AC Under 20 team at Woodford on Sunday saw them maintaining their momentum for a place in the National Junior League Final in Derby in September.

The sprints saw Michael Ojo take a fine 2nd in the 200m in 22.32secs, with Tom Evans winning the B race in 22.41secs. For the Ladies it was the 100m that reaped the best points with Georgia Lamothe 2nd in 12.13secs and Shalisha Patrick winning the B event in a pb of 12.26 secs.
There were maximum points in the 400m via the winning runs from Stefan Richards in a pb of 49.42secs and another pb for Josh Moss in the B in 51.34secs. The Ladies were also in good form with Leah Barrow 2nd in 57.67secs and Emma Croft clocking another pb for 3rd in the B event in 61.98secs.
Best of the middle distance races came in the 1500m where the in form Nick Lingley ran away from his chasers in 4m04.1 secs and Elliott Woolmer was 3rd in the B string in 4m13.2.
Over the 3000m it was the Ladies that shone with Alice Wills(10m51.49) and Rachel Stedman(11m10.24) securing maximum points.
The Steeplechase events provided good points for the local club. Nathan Ditton was 2nd in the A string with a pb of 6m20.48 whist the fast improving Cameron Smart won the B in another pb of 6m23.59 For the Ladies it was Maddie Garner that grabbed 2nd in a pb of 5m28.95secs with Susanna Ditton winning the B string in another pb of 5m57.87.
Best of the short hurdles event was Ashley Bryant who was 2nd in 14.4 secs whilst Emily Barrett was the best of the one lap hurdlers with her 3rd place in 65.32secs.
Ashley Bryant went on to claim a victory in the Javelin with 61m47 and a 2nd in the Long Jump with 6m71, with David Harvey only centimeters behind in winning the B string with 6m69.
The Discus provided good points with Steve Watson winning with 51m91 and Ryan Barrett taking 2nd in the B with 42m79.This event also proved to be the best of the throws for the Ladies with Laura James(37m18 and Ellie Norris(26m27) both taking 3rd places. Hannah Johnson also performed well for her 2nd in the Javelin with 34m08.
The Mens relays produced two good second places – the squad of Michael Ojo, Jordan Thomas, Tom Evans and Stefan Richards clocking 43.86secs in the 4x100m and in the 4x400m Zac Curran, Connor Vine, Josh Moss, and Stefan Richards combined for3m23.32secs.The Ladies were similarly placed, the quartet of Emily Barrett, Leah Barrow, Shalisha Patrick and Georgia Lamothe clocking 49.07secs and Barrett and Barrow were back on the track with Emma Croft and Bex Myers for the 4x400m to clock 3m59.8
