Some 150 athletes were attracted to the 3rd in the WSEH Winter Indoor Series at the Thames Valley Athletics Centre. Chinedu Monye was the best of the Senior Ladies with her 7.77 secs time in the 60m, with Michelle Warren ranked 2nd on 8.32 secs, just ahead of Harriet Shurley on 8.33 secs. Shalisha Patrick was the 3rd best in the U17 Ladies with her clocking of 8.04 secs. Newcomer Delza Brown was the 2nd placed Under 13 Boy with 9.51 secs.

The 60m Hurdles produced more good performances from WSEH athletes. Harriet Shurley was the best of the Senior Ladies with her time of 9.21secs and Hope White was 2nd placed Under 13 Girl in 11.83 secs. Max Dorey clocked 11.54 secs in the Under 15 Boys category.
The field events also saw WSEH athletes amongst the top placings. Steve Walker won the Senior Pole vault with 3m80 and Charlie Smith repeated the feat in the Under 17 Men with his 3m70, with Dan Ditton clearing 2m80 and James Dixon making his debut with 2m60. In the Ladies the remarkable Dorothy McLennan, still vaulting at 74 years of age, cleared 1m60.
Best of the WSEH High Jumpers were Russell Waterson, 2nd with a pb of 1m70 in the Under 17 category and Hope White similarly placed with 1m35 at Under 13 level.
