Some 120 athletes descended upon the Thames Valley Athletic Centre to take part in the first of the WSEH AC Winter Indoor Track and Field series.
The meeting was well supported by the WSEH Pole Vaulters who used the 60m sprint as a warm up.
Best of the WSEH senior men in the 60 m sprint was in fact Pole Vault coach Steve McLennan with his time of 7.83secs.
Top ranked on the day in the Under 20 60m was WSEH’s Triple Jump specialist Kieran Moss with his 7.36 secs clocking with Euan Bryden in touch on 7.42secs. Under 17 hurdler Max Dorey went even better with his 7.40secs clocking. Under 15 Sean Rafique won his sprint in 7.99secs. Demi Etefia proved to be the top U17 woman on the day with her time of 8.21secs. Alex Galliers made his WSEH debut with his clocking of 9.49secs in the U13 race.
In the 60m Hurdles Alex Walker was flying with his winning time of 8.39secs, with Max Dorey clocked at 9.00 secs in the same race. Sam Maguire was another WSEH winner this time in the U20 race in 8.59sercs..

WSEH athletes were out in force in the Pole Vault. Steve McLennan won the Senior Mens event with 4m15 whilst Steve Walker and Chris Mills both cleared 4m00 to take 2nd and 3rd. Euan Bryden topped the Under 20 Men with his winning effort of 3m40, a height equalled by Dan Ditton in 2nd place Alice Humble was 2nd placed in the Senior Womens category with her 2m95, with Lily Mae Fisher winning the U20 with 2m90, the same height cleared by Kirsty Lai in 2nd place..

The High Jump produced a victory for Luke Quinn in the U17 event with a 1m80 clearance and newcomer Lee Jumpp was 4th with 1m65. Imogen Bright placed 2nd in the Girls U15 with 1m35.
