WSEH Indoor Open Meeting
The second in the series of WSEH AC Winter Indoor Open Meetings attracted some 200 athletes from as far afield as Manchester and Southampton.

WSEH were prominent in the various track and field events

Deji Tobais was the fastest athlete present winning his 60m Senior race in 6.76secs. Aaron Richardson also ran well for his 2nd place in his race in 7.10secs. The local club’s top pole Vaulter, Euan Bryden, showed a good turn of speed to win his race in 7.11secs. Morris Nganga won his race in 7.63secs, whilst Ekene Ijeomah was the best of the U17 Men with his time of 7.46secs. Ilan Bisschops dominated the U15 age group with his victory in 7.97secs with Jonathan Brew winning his race in 8.16secs, and Alex Pennycooke 2nd on 8.62secs. Adam Sfendla was an U13 winner with 8.81secs.
Harriet Jones was the top WSEH Senior Woman athlete with her 2nd place on 7.86secs, with Amber Leigh–Hall clocking 7.91secs. Anna Croft was 2nd in her 60m U20 event in 8.07secs with Megan Shaw placing 2nd in 8.28secs. Ayoola Babalola was the best of the U17 Women with her time of 7.87secs with Katie Stocker 2nd in her race on 8.74secs WSEH’s versatile thrower Jodie Smith showed a good turn of speed to win her U17 race in 8.10secs. Best of the WSEH U15’s was Rachel Okoro with her 2nd place in 8.45secs.

The 60m hurdles saw Amber Leigh–Hall again in the frame with her Senior win in 8.75secs. Anna Croft was an U20 winner in 9.55secs with Megan Shaw 2nd with 9.64 secs and Rachel Melbourne 3rd in 9.88secs.

The Field Events provided more WSEH winners. Ekene Ijeomah took the U17 event with 5m20 whilst Ilan Bisschops was best of the U15’s present with his leap of 5m14. Best of the WSEH ladies was Katie Stocker who was the U17 winner with 4m13.
Jodie Smith scored her second win of the afternoon to win the U17 Shot with a pb of 11m03, whilst Sampda Sharma was 2nd in the U13 age group with 6m59.

South of England U17/15 Indoor Championships – Lee Valley Stadium
A handful of WSEH athletes travelled to the Lee Valley Stadium in East London to compete in the South of England U17/15 Championships.
Jasmine Presho was the best of the WSEH quartet, winning the bronze medal in the U17 Pole Vault with 3m30. Younger brother Alex Presho was 5th in the U15 Boys event with his 2m30n clearance.
On the track Abby Masquelier and Laurie Stcliffe both made the finals of the U15 60m hurdles, both placing 6th in 9.46secs and 9.33secs respectively.

Bucks AA Cross Country Championships, Shuttleworth Park, Beds
WSEH AC added to their tally of the County Titles won at the Berks AA Cross Country Championships with a further victory at the Bucks AA Championships held at Shuttleworh Park, Beds on Saturday.

Alex Goodall successfully defended his Senor Mens title crossing the finish in 47.24 secs, with team mate Kieran Wye not far adrift in 5th place in 48.37secs.

Katie Thompson grabbed the silver medal in her U20 race in 26m36secs.
