South of England Indoor Championships
WSEH AC athletes were amongst the medal winners at the South of England Indoor Championships at the Lea Valley Stadium last week.
The WSEH Pole Vaulters that were on form. Euan Bryden won the Senior Mens Pole Vault with an excellent 5m00 clearance. Jasmine Presho was the silver medallist in the U20 Ladies event with her pb equalling 3m20. Veteran Pole Vaulter Chris Mills was also in the action finishing 8th with 4m00.
The Long Jump event provided another silver medal, this time for Sam Challis in the U20 event with a leap of 6m74. Harriet Jones was 9th in her U20 Long Jump with 5m02.
The 3rd WSEH medal of the day came in the Senior Ladies 60m Hurdles where Amber Leigh-Hall took the bronze with her time of 8.65secs.

WSEH AC will now have 7 athletes competing in the Commonwealth Games, scheduled for Queensland, Australia in mid April 2018.
Jacob Paul has been named for the England team in the 400m Hurdles whilst Ben Reynolds goes in the 110m Hurdles for Northern Ireland.
They join already named Ashley Bryant (Decathlon), Rachel Wallader (Shot), Shelayna Oskan-Clarke (800m) and Morgan Lake (High Jump).
