WSEH AC continued their excellent start to the winter season with more podium places in the South of England Cross Country Relays event at Wormwood Scrubs on the weekend.

The Under 15 Girls team once again grabbed silver medals in their race – Jasmine Young being timed at 7m18, Eloisa Harris on 8m16 and Charlotte Dewar on the final leg with 7m16.
The WSEH B team were the second placed B team with good runs from Holly Landon (7m53), Imogen Tattersal(8m54) and Isabelle Haycock(8m40).
The local club also fielded a C team in this age group – Isabelle Spencer clocking 9m09, Jessica Hardick 10m32 and Madison Goodliff 9m13. Race winners were Blackheath & Bromley AC.

More silver medals resulted in the Under 13 Girls race. Daya Baga led the way with her time of 7m38, followed by Freya Wilcox on 7m44 with Rachel Clutterbuck ensuring the podium spot with her time of 7m41. Race winners were Guildford & Godalming AC.

The U17 Mens team got off to a good start with Sam Southall returning home in 3rd place in 10m18. WSEH held on to this bronze medal placing with solid efforts from Dominic McDougall(10m14) and Ross Van Heerde(11m14). Race winners were Shaftesbury Barnet AC.

Just out of the medal hunt in 4th place were the WSEH Under 17 Ladies Team with Kate Clutterbuck on 8m35, Amy Young on 8m11 and Molly Jones also clocking 8m11 on the final leg. WSEH also fielded B and C teams in this event The B team were 10th overall - the 2nd B team to finish with Maya Hodgson on 8m34, Ellie Van Heerde on 8m39 and Isabelle Craven on 9m18. The WSEH C team was represented by Madison Foxcroft(8m52), Daisy Schotting–Robinson (9m04) and Lily Schotting–Robinson (9m33) – finishing 12th overall. Race winners were Blackheath & Bromley AC.

There was strong running from the WSEH Senior Men with a good 6th place resulting. Contributors were Alex Goodall(14m58), Blake Moore(14m21), Adam Moore(14m48) and Simon Millett(15m17).
A WSEH B team also faced the starter, producing a 16th place via Kieran Best (16m04), James Tidd(15m21), Seb Pencole(16m16) and Joe Spicer(16m34). Race winners were Highgate Harriers.

WSEH also fielded two teams in the U13 Boys race with the A team coming home in 9th place. Runners were: Ben Dewar(7m30), Julian Abass(7m33) and Sam Johnston(7m28). The B team finished in 25th place – Meya Baga(8m11), Stephen Vishnyak(8m21) and Nikish Vishnyak(9m32). Race winners were Bracknell AC

It was a token team that represented WSEH in the Senior Ladies team finishing in 18th place – Juliet Soane clocking 13m27. Veteran Marina Steadman 14m33 and Becky Atkinson with 12m35. Race winners were Herne Hill Harriers
