National Junior U20 League – Southern Premier Division

Despite finishing second to current champions Shaftesbury Barnet Harriers in their National Junior League Southern Premier Division match at Bromley on Sunday, WSEH AC maintain their top of the table position. With just one match left in the series, the local club look set fair to take their place in the National Final in Derby in September.

South of England AA Under 17/15 Championships - Watford

WSEH AC emerged with two more South of England Champions at the Under 17/15 championships at Watford over the weekend, plus a number of minor medallists.

English Schools Athletics Championships – Gateshead

British Athletics League – Div 1 – Gateshead 30.6

The WSEH AC Mens British League team made the long weekend trip to Gateshead to contest the 2nd match in their British Athletics League series. A third place finish resulted with WSEH now in a good position for a promotion push with just two more matches remaining, the final match being at Eton in mid August.

Olympic Trials – Birmingham

WSEH AC had 15 athletes competing in the OlympicTtrials in Birmingham over the weekend with two athletes probably securing their Olympic place.
Lawrence Clarke went into his 110m Hurdles race with the fastest time in the UK this year. His start was not the best but he pulled through in the latter stages to finish 2nd to training partner Andy Pozzi in 13.45secs to claim his Olympic place.
