Olympic Trials – Birmingham

WSEH AC had 15 athletes competing in the OlympicTtrials in Birmingham over the weekend with two athletes probably securing their Olympic place.
Lawrence Clarke went into his 110m Hurdles race with the fastest time in the UK this year. His start was not the best but he pulled through in the latter stages to finish 2nd to training partner Andy Pozzi in 13.45secs to claim his Olympic place.

National Young Athletes League – Premier Division – Winchester

At Geneva, Switzerland on 2nd June 2012, Lawrence Clarke smashed his existing 110m Hurdles Club record to register a time of 13.33 secs to send him to the top of the UK Rankings.

The WSEH AC Young Athletes Team further enhanced their chances of a place in the National Finals in Manchester in September with a emphatic win in the 2nd of their National Young Athletes League Southern Premier matches at Reading on Sunday.

WSEH AC athletes were in action at various County Championships over the weekend emerging with no fewer than 56 champions at the current count but with more results yet to be published, the number could top 60..There were also 6 new County Championship records set.

Berks AA Championships – TVAC Eton
21 County titles were gained in the Berks AA Championships at Eton with new County Records being set by Ashley Fry in the U20 400m Hurdles in 53.2secs, Georgie Lamothe in the U20 100m in 12.2 secs and Joey Watson in the U17 Shot with 14m32.
