Senior Mens Race

There as a conspicuous absence of WSEH Senior Men athletes at the Apex Sports Chiltern League Div 1 match at Luton, and it was left to Under 20 athletes to fly the club colours. Winner last time out, Nathan White found himself back in 5th place this time, but still the best placed Under 20 athlete. Luke Turton had his best run to date in 41st place and Vince Bangs was 50th.

Under 20 Team result: 1. Bracknell 454, 2. WSEH 411, 3. Luton 282.

Senior Ladies Race

Supervet Paula Fudge led home the WSEH contingent with her 15th place. She was supported by Leigh James in 22nd, Yolanda Edwards in 27th place and another vet Sue Tansy in 40th place.

Team Result: 1. M.Keynes 215, 2.Chiltern Harriers 100, 3. Dacorum & Tring 199
6. WSEH 148.

Under 17 Mens Race

The Under 17 men had the worst of the weather during the afternoon having to endure a hailstorm. Best of the quartet was Joshua Radvan in 5th place. There was a gap before the remaining WSEH runners appeared. Nick Lingley was 20th, Jack Philp making a welcome return in 26th place and Chris Reilly 28th.

Team result: 1.Bedford 102, 2. Harrow 91, 3. M.Keynes 85, 5. WSEH 58

Under 17 Ladies Race

Louise Lingley had perhaps her best run to date with her 4th place. Rachel Stedman was in touch in 6th place and Faith Louise Smith completed the team with her 11th spot.
Other WSEH finishers were: 13th Melissa Hack, 23rd Samantha Cross

Under 15 Boys

Just two WSEH Under 15 Boy athletes faced the starter, James Bennington was 12th and Kingsley Swan 31st.

Under 15 Girls race

There was a bigger turn out by the WSEH Under 15 Girls with Bex Myers leading the way in 12th spot. She was closely followed by Lauren Wye in 15th, but then there was a wait before Maryse Haynes appeared in 24th place and Naomi Barbour in 28th to complete the team. Other WSEH finishers were: 31st Emily Barrett, 32nd Verity Kyley, 33rd Hannah Radvan 46th Kerry Gorman.

Team Result: 1.Oxford 171, 2. Bedford 163, 3. M.Keynes 149, 5. WSEH 113.

Under 13 Boys Race

With several key athletes missing it was left to Kieran Wye to lead the WSEH team home with his 7th place. The improving David DeVilliers was next to cross the line in 10th place followed by Michael Lane in 28th and Sam Jago 29th. Other WSEH finishers were: 30th James Porter, 34th Lucas Delazar, 52nd Euan Jackson.

Team Result: 1. Bedford 191, 2. Chiltern Harriers 189, 3. WSEH 150

Under 13 Girls Race

Emma Croft was once again the best of the WSEH squad with her 5th place. Chloe Allen was also well to the fore with her 17th place but there was then a gap before Ellie Wallis crossed the finish in 43rd place. The team scoring was completed by G.Mills in 61st place.

Under 11 boys Race

There was much of promise in the Under 11 Race with Ed Gumpert leading the WSEH charge in 5th place closely followed by Charlie Smee in 9th, Joe Hudson in 10th and Gordon Jago in 18th.

Under 11 girls Race

The lone WSEH winner on the day came in the opening race the Under 11 Girls. Becky Croft repeated her victory at Oxford last time out with another comfortable win. She was well supported by B.Wilson in 5th and A.Barbour in 38th spot.
