Chiltern Cross Country League Div 1 - Wing - Sat, 9th Feb 2008

A clash with an inter-counties schools fixture plus end of season lethargy saw a disappointing WSEH turn out for the final Apex Sports Chiltern League match at Wing in Bedfordshire. Nonetheless there were still a plethora of individual and team medals for WSEH, based on overall achievements across the five fixtures.

Senior Mens Race

With two victories in the preceding 4 matches, Nathan White opted not to compete as he had done enough to ensure the individual gold medal in both the senior and Under 20 Men category – no mean achievement. On the day it was Steve Kimber who was best of a small WSEH contingent, taking 2nd place with team-mate Owain Jones now looking to have recovered from injury in 4th place. Gary Taylor, on the comeback trail, looks to be finding his old form with his 34th place. Veteran Bob Fuller was next home in 92nd place, quickly followed by another vet Mick Hill in 95th. The only other WSEH competitor was Ian Marmont in 139th spot.
